Recipients cut off from changes to the SNAP (Food Stamps) program are because the exceptions for non-work eligibility has gone from (sic) 20% of the national unemployment rate to a fixed 7% unemployment rate. If your area falls below that, then you will have to volunteer or work to qualify for food stamps.
